Ignorant Songs

There are a lot of stupid songs on the radio today if I must say so myself. It makes me question our current state in music. Even though I don't condone this stupidity, I can't help but notice myself dancing just as much as everyone else to these songs at parties. Maybe its the southerner in me that makes me start dancing as soon as the song comes on. Either way, I find the songs entertaining to say the least. Now with that being said, I wonder how some of these people actually get record deals. I know music has not been completely reduced to "Stanky Legg" by the GS Boyz or "Do The Ricky Bobby" by B-Hamp. I feel as if a lot of this nonsense is taking over. What ever happened to the good times in music? Back when we had Marvin Gaye or Michael Jackson(before he went through that "phase") Some may think I'm too young to know about that era in music, but i do find myself listening and seeing the difference in what we play today. Yes, at times an ignorant song is needed to get the party started, but hopefully they won't be needed much longer.
